About

In 2012, I graduated from The University of British Columbia with a BFA in Creative Writing. Since then, my written work has been published in Canadian anthologies and literary magazines such as onecoolword, CV2, Prairie Fire, Poetry is Dead, and Oratorealis.

While attending classes at UBC, I was introduced to spoken word and performance poetry  through the Vancouver Poetry Slam community, and my writing was forever changed. Since moving back to Winnipeg, I’ve built a presence as a performer and events coordinator, and have featured on various community and festival stages, like the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word, The Victoria Spoken Word Festival, THIN AIR: The Winnipeg International Writers Festival, and the Winnipeg Fringe, and Improv festivals.

I’ve since taken my work into classrooms, facilitating workshops and residencies via the Manitoba Arts Council’s Artists in the Schools Program, where I engage students in building confidence in self-expression through spoken word lesson plans.

Feel free to visit my blog, where I stay up to date on reporting the various events, projects, and workshops I take part in.
